Established in 1956, DFRC (Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with intellectual disABILITIES) is a well-respected 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to raising both funds and consciousness through high-quality events. These efforts support enrichment programs so that all Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES can maximize their potential, independence, and enjoyment of life. DFRC’s mission is simple yet powerful: to enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES. DFRC is continuing to evolve to meet the needs of our community, with an increased focus on education and awareness. We are dedicated to identifying and funding programs based on community need. Through our fundraising events, DFRC has distributed over $6.4 million to community programs and services throughout Delaware that benefit individuals with intellectual disABILITIES. As we enter our seventh decade of consciousness building, we aim to help all Delawareans understand intellectual disABILITIES as a natural part of human experience and amplify our sharing of valuable lessons about diversity and acceptance.
